OctPoWriMo Poem 2-Widow’s Hand

For you they scattered fragments of hymns and ashes

Promises fallen into the dark ground
Nevermore nevermore said the night’s dark hours.

I mourned
Naked, kneeling in the snow
Your glittering ring on my widow hand.
